This 1952 house was the home of the current owner's best friend, many, many years ago. As the process of remodeling began it was obvious that entertaining and comfort were all going to evolve around a southwest, warm feel. Dave Fox Design/Build Remodelers opened the kitchen, dinette and dining room into a wonderful kitchen allowing the clients to prepare the meals and interact with their friends. A large skylight was added to bring natural light into a large space. The second project updated the 1952 glass tile bath to the current time. The glass tile stayed, and Dave Fox incorporated a new vanity, storage flooring and recessed lights to meet the clients' needs. Project number three – the family room – ties everything together. The dark room was opened up by adding a vaulted ceiling, skylights and up lighting to wash the ceiling with light. The old painted brick fireplace was recreated with stone to give the feel of the southwest region so loved by the couple. With the addition of wood and tile floors, the space is one that makes you feel at home.
