Twelve Builders Announced for the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes

Twelve of the area’s top builders have announced they will build homes in the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Central Ohio’s 2012 BIA Parade of Homes, to be held in The Meadows at Lewis Center, a Silvestri Homes community in Delaware County, Orange Township. The event will take place June 16 – July 1.

The following builders are participating:

Miller Troyer Custom Homes is building a BIA Parade home for the first time, and the other eleven builders have built BIA Parade homes previously. The website www.biaparade.com will follow the progress the builders make on their homes and provide additional details.

“The 2012 builders include a great mix of large and small builders, with both seasoned BIA Parade veterans and a first-time BIA Parade builder,” says Jim Hilz, Executive Director of the BIA of Central Ohio. “All of the builders are well-positioned to create exciting homes that display the latest in design, products, décor and technology.”

The BIA Parade reaches a landmark in 2012 when this popular annual event celebrates its 60th anniversary. The BIA held its first Parade in June 1952 in Upper Arlington.

Located in the Olentangy School District, The Meadows at Lewis Center is conveniently close to the shopping and restaurants at Polaris and the Route 23 corridor. The site is also minutes from Alum Creek State Park with its swimming, hiking and boating.

The Meadows at Lewis Center features an abundance of green space and a six acre pond. The neighborhood will offer a wide variety of home styles, including 5-level splits, ranches and 2-stories. Homes will be priced in the $400,000 – $600,000 range.

“It’s just a great location that’s close to schools, shopping, restaurants and the recreation at Alum Creek,” said Joe Silvestri, Co-Owner of Silvestri Homes, the site developer. “Most of the lots back up to one of the large reserve areas or are tree lined.”
