The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Central Ohio today announced that the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes will be held in The Meadows at Lewis Center, a Silvestri Homes community in Delaware County, Orange Township.
A landmark for the Parade, 2012 will celebrate the 60th year for the annual event that expects to draw 35,000-40,000 visitors during the two and one-half week run. The event will be held again in June.
The Meadows at Lewis Center is a beautiful new development located seconds away from Alum Creek and the many activities offered within the park. In addition, the development will feature two large reserve areas, one with a six acre pond. A multi-purpose leisure path circles the pond and also ties into the more extensive bike path system that runs along Lewis Center Road. The community is within the Olentangy School District and also conveniently located near the myriad of amenities available in the Polaris and Route 23 business corridors.
The neighborhood will offer a variety of home styles including 5-level splits, ranch, 2-story and more. Homes will most likely be priced in the $400k-$600 range making them attractive to the move-up buyer and younger families.
“Delaware County continues to present great opportunity for BIA builders and the Parade and we’re thrilled with the success of this year’s Parade at Olentangy Falls. Selling 10 of the 11 Parade homes before we opened provides great momentum for next year” said Jim HIlz, Executive Director of the BIA of Central Ohio. “We think by highlighting homes in this area and price range, attendees will get to see a wide variety of ideas and walk away with some great inspiration for their own home.”
Silvestri Homes is the developer of the 2012 Parade and has been building in the Columbus area since the early 1960s. The family-run business was started by Camillo Silvestri and is now run by his two sons and co-owners, Joe and Carlo Silvestri. Silvestri builds in several communities throughout Central Ohio.
“We’re very proud of The Meadows at Lewis Center and are looking forward to hosting the 2012 Parade,” said Joe Silvestri. “The location is incredibly desirable for those looking to build and will be a great place for young families, older families and even empty nesters.”
The 2012 BIA Parade of Homes will take place June 2012. More information and specific details about the event will be available at www.biaparade.com in the coming months.
