Franklin County Engineer Update
As of March 23
Cornell Robertson, Franklin County Engineer and team have been closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are committed to doing our part to reduce the spread of the virus while ensuring safe and efficient travel across Franklin County roads and bridges. At this time, our offices remain open, and we continue to respond to citizens’ needs. However, in an effort to support the actions of Governor DeWine, Ohio Department of Health, Franklin County Public Health, and the Franklin County Commissioners we are practicing social distancing and limiting face-to-face contact to essential business only beginning March 23, 2020 at all four of our locations: Headquarters at 970 Dublin Road, West Maintenance Facility at 4444 Fisher Road, East Maintenance Facility at 4801 Hendron Road, and Tax Map Division on the 19th floor of the Courthouse at 373 South High Street.
Our gates will remain closed during normal business hours. Partner agencies that need to enter our facilities for fuel or other services will need to call 614-525-3072 in order to gain access. Citizens wishing to acquire Franklin County Road Maps can utilize the map boxes located outside the gate. If visitors have essential business, need additional assistance, have road concerns, or bridge concerns, they are welcome to contact our office at 614-525-3072, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are diligently working to meet the needs of Franklin County residents. Our dedicated teammates are still working at our four locations, but some are working remotely to maximize social distancing. We are all replying to phone calls, voicemails, emails, as well as emergency call-outs for high water, trees across roads, downed signs, drainage concerns, etc. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult and uncertain times.
