New Albany Getting New City Engineer

Mike Barker, who has been New Albany’s city engineer since 2013, has been promoted to deputy director of community development.

During his tenure with the city, Barker has proven himself to be a person of the highest integrity, said City Manager Joseph Stefanov.

When he has been asked to take on additional responsibilities, he has risen to the challenge, Stefanov said.

“When it comes to leadership style, Mike has a servant’s heart,” he said.
